Will Smith On Success — Just Running & Reading.

Will Smith Is Droppin' Knowledge On You Sucka!

Will Smith Wants To Drop Some Knowledge On You Sucka!

Will Smith blew up.

I didn’t realize how big a star he was … until … my friend pointed out what a superstar he was.

It was close to July 4th, and he was like …

“Of course they’re going to release a Will Smith movie around now … cause they know it’ll be a blockbuster”

… and I was like dddaaaammmmnnnn yo. Big Willie is a huge movie star.

Actually, that’s an understatement because I’ve heard he’s one of Hollywood’s best Return on Investments because for every $1 they pay him … his movies bring in $10!

In fact, he’s been successful in most everything he’s ever done. How?

Running and Reading Is The Secret Key To Life.

That’s what Will says. Here’s the video clip of Will’s speech where he says this:

Now, I’m not a big fan of running … but … the point he’s making is:

  1. Physical Challenges to build the “never quit” mentality
  2. Reading because there’s nothing you could want to ever do that someone hasn’t already done and wrote a book about.

Will Smith Droppin’ Mo’ Knowledge (Including How To Pick Up Chicks):

“Yes, absolutely. I feel very, very confident that the keys to life for me are reading and running. The idea that there are millions and billions of people who have lived before us, and they had problems and they solved them and they wrote it in a book somewhere – there is no new problem that we can have that we have to figure out by ourselves. There’s no relationship issue, there is no issue with your parents or your brother or your government, there is no issue we can have that somebody didn’t already write a thousand years ago in a book. So, for me, that concept of reading is bittersweet because you know it’s in a book somewhere but you’ve got to find the right one that is going to give you the proper information.

I said reading and running and the running aspect is how can you connect with your weakness. When you get on the treadmill you deprive yourself of oxygen. What kind of person you are will come out very, very quickly. You’re either the type of person who will say you’re going to run three miles or you stop the treadmill at 2.94 and you hit it and you call 2.94 3 miles, or you get off after a mile, or you’re the type of person that runs hard through the finish line and when you get to 3.0 you realize, ‘God, I could really do 5,’ and you go ahead and do two more.

And that little person talks to you and says, ‘Man, do you feel our knee? We should stop. I feel we should stop ourselves right now. This is not healthy anymore.’ When you learn to get command over that person on that treadmill, you learn to get command over that person in your life. That’s the same person that tells you, ‘Man, that girl’s got some big breasts. Listen, we don’t have to do nothing, let’s just go the hotel room together.’ That’s the same person. Getting command of that person has been really important.”

Get Up, Get Training, And Get Reading

So yeah man. You wanna do something with your life?

  1. Figure out what you wanna do
  2. Go read a book about it
  3. Do it
  4. Don’t quit when it gets hard (find some physical practice to build this “no quit” attitude)

Pretty simple eh? Now, just do it.

This site feels eerily similar to http://www.stronglifts.com. who copied from whom?

@ Guest:

Haha, I've gotten that response before …

No copying, maybe because both me and Mehdi derived a large portion of our knowledge from the same sources …

After all, success leaves clues and Mehdi being the smart guy he is studied the same stuff I've studied, and vice versa. Then we both put our own experiential knowledge into it to help others out.

Perhaps a better question to ask, would be, if they're saying the same thing … perhaps I should implement it in my own life?
