The Most Annoying Thing You Can Do In The Gym

by Caleb Lee on October 4, 2008

Want to know how to annoy me and a TON of other hardcore, serious weight lifters when you’re in the gym? This article will tell you how…

Why would you want to do this? There could be several reasons…

  • You like getting dirty looks…
  • You want guys to be pissed off at you…
  • You want those same guys (who probably look better than you) to hit on your girlfriend…

It really doesn’t matter what your motivation is — if you want to piss us off, do this:

Go over the the squat rack and instead of squatting… instead of doing an exercise which works nearly every muscle in your entire body… that builds mental toughness… that stimulates all the right sex hormones… instead of doing something USEFUL.

Start with the empty bar and start cranking out bicep curls.

Then add some weight and do another endless set.

Then keep adding weight for 15 minutes, constantly doing bicep curls… until your last couple sets you’re severely cheating and pushing your body weight into each curl.

By this time I’ll be considering the legal ramifications of yoking you up in a rear naked choke and leaving you passed out on the gym floor.

Look, if you’re trying to build bigger arms you have to work your legs. If you’re trying to build big arms and a huge chest, you need to work your legs. So put your time in the squat rack to good use by doing something clever… like… squatting :)
