They look around … and if the goal seems hard … or they see that not many other people have achieved it, they use THAT as their excuse.
Here’s the thing amigo …
Statistics Mean NOTHING To The Individual!
Just because, statistically speaking, a very small percentage of people ever achieve the goal you want to go after … does NOT mean … you will not achieve it either.
The question is: “how bad do you want it?” … and … “Are you willing to do what it takes to make it a reality?”
That’s all that matters. Again, statistics don’t matter.

When he was determined to make it out of the ghetto, to make money, to become a rap star … all his friends … everyone around him told him his plans were dumb because they all thought:
“how many people do you actually see making it from over here?”
They quoted the statistics …
“You shouldn’t even try because hardly anybody is successful”.
And Jay’s answer?
“Alright. But I’m Different. I can’t base my life, what I want to be, off of what everyone else is not. I can’t use those statistics as a way to murder my dreams. Those people who didn’t made it aren’t as determined as me. They don’t have the vision and ambition I have. And you don’t either by the way for telling me it’s not possible, so “F*ck OFF!” (2:27)
Does that make sense to you?
Don’t let anyone ever tell you what you want isn’t possible because other people haven’t done it!
- How motivated were those people?
- Did they want it as much as you?
- Do they have the vision you have?
- The motivation you have?
- The Ambition you have?
- The Determination to see it through?
You … and ONLY YOU … determine what you can achieve in this life. Don’t let anyone tell you different.
