You can achieve a lot in your life if you’re just willing to change the WAY you do something… not change completely. For example, two children, identical twins grow up in the same house. One twin grows up to be a successful business owner, has a great family, beautiful kids and is determiend that — no matter what — he’ll be the best father and husband possible to his children.
The other twin starts drinking, gets married, abuses his wife and she leaves him before he has a chance to do the same to children of his own some day.
What made the difference? The WAY in which the two twins accepted and went about their situations. They both had the same experiences — but one decided to change the way it affected him — and the other just decided to take it and run with it.

Bruce Lee’s Lean Body Secret
Bruce Lee would never park close to the building he was going to go shopping at. He would always park at the parking spot the farthest away. Why shouldn’t you?
You can walk an extra mile or two a day with this tip, here’s how it works out in a typical day:
- Coffee – you park an extra 25 yards from the door — go in and out = 50 yards more.
- Work – you park an extra 150 yards away from the door. You go in and out of your office building twice that day (going to work and leaving) = 300 yards
- Gas station – you park an extra 15 yards from the door – in and out = 30 yards.
- Grocery shopping (or some other errand) — park an extra 150 yards from door, another 300 yards
- Kids to soccer practice — park 30 yards from field – an extra 60 yards.
- You’ve already added 760 yards to your day (you still have 1,000 left before you hit a mile, but you’re getting the picture right)?
Even at the low end of 500-700 extra yards per day, at the end of the week that adds up, 500 x 7 = 1.98 miles extra per week… just by parking your car a little farther away from the door.
Don’t Diet — Change WHEN You Eat — Eat The Same Stuff
Just changing your daily eating habits so you only eat during certain hours during the day will put your body into fat loss mode quickly.
You can still enjoy all the different foods you want — just enjoy them at certain times per day. What I’m referring to here is intermittent fasting — it’s a simple way to eat all the foods you love — but lose weight at the same time.
I’ve written about intermittent fasting on this blog many times before, but there’s a totally free website dedicated to a VERY easy version of this eating style call The Fast-5 Diet. I suggest you go to that website and download their FREE book (totally free, don’t even have to sign up)… and join the thousands of people around the world who are using this method now.
It’s easy, here’s the most concise, easy to understand way to lose weight without changing what you’re eating, dieting, or worrying (from the summary on their website):
Eat within five consecutive hours.
That’s it. Eat within five consecutive hours. “Eat” means consume calories. During the five consecutive hours (the “eating window”), eat as much as you’re hungry for, and eat what you want to eat. As long as you keep at least a nineteen-hour fast daily and eat within five or fewer consecutive hours, you’re within the guidelines of the Fast-5 program. Any window of five consecutive hours can be used.
Look For Opportunities To Be More Active
The example above with parking far away from the buildings you go into is an example of this, but there are plenty of ways to burn more calories each day — if you just look for them:
- Take the stairs instead of the elevator everywhere you go
- Put down the remote and GET UP to change the channel on the T.V.
- Stand up for 15 minute periods while working at your desk
- Ride your bike to work instead of drive?
- Walk to places in town if you live in town instead of driving?
As you can see, your ability to burn fat daily without trying is simply limited by your imagination. The fact is: we as a species were NOT created to need diets and exercise. It’s only in the last 100 years where we’ve gotten to the point, because we have so many luxuries and un-natural things that this need came about.
Primitive man was lean all the time because he had to hunt for food, walked everywhere, often had to run for his life, and didn’t get a chance to eat 3x per day (and CERTAINLY not 4-6 times per day like some “smexperts” recommend!)
