Comfort Zones – Get Out Of Yours And Achieve Success!

comfort-zonesIf you want to improve your life in any way you can think of… then you need to learn to get OUT of your comfort zones!

It’s a fact: the most successful people are the people who are more comfortable being NOT-comfortable. That is, they’ve learned to get out of their comfort zones — and stay out of them — in order to achieve great things.

What are comfort zones?

Comfort zones are those things that are familiar to you. The things that you grew up with. The way your life is now.

For example: the amount of money you make and the amount of money you spend each month is your financial “comfort zone”. If you are forced to spend more money this month than normal, then it makes you feel uncomfortable because you’re reaching out past that comfort zone.

Your current exercise habits: how much and how often you exercise are also your comfort zones. The idea of working out more than you do now is an uncomfortable idea to you because it’s reaching out past your comfort zones.

How Your Comfort Zones are holding you back.

The problem is: if you want something. Anything. You need to change. To change, you are in effect going to have to reach out past your comfort zones.

When you start doing this, it’s going to be uncomfortable, no doubt about it.

But it’s NECESSARY if you’re going to achieve anything worthwhile in your life. If you want to start a business for example, you gotta get more comfortable with taking risks. With taking the responsibility for your income for yourself (instead of relying on an employer).

If you wanna lose weight, you gotta get comfortable with the uncomfortable fact that you gotta control what the heck you’re putting in your mouth every time you sit down for a meal.

How to get out of them.

Just start moving. Start gradually pushing the boundaries of these comfort zones and pretty soon you will have pushed past them.

For example: wanna lose weight? Get up off the fricking couch today, skip just one episode of lousy T.V. (or even worse the news!) and go for a walk during that 20-30 minutes. Get some fresh air.

It’s going to feel uncomfortable at first. Getting up off the couch when you normally sit there, vegging out watching T.V. mindlessly. The idea will scare you even.

But then you push past that, go for a walk, get some fresh air and you realize “hey this isn’t so bad”… and that’s the beginning of how you get out of your comfort zones, start making progress and achieving real and lasting success in each and every thing you can think of.
